Althouse brings attention to a film about monks...looks interesting and I'll have to put it in the Netflix queue. (That ought to confuse the wife.)
As a younger man I occasionally gave consideration to a monastic life; it has many deep spiritual rewards that would do my tarnished soul a lot of good. On the downside, I wouldn't have the opportunity to stretch myself in the romantic love department, which has its own spiritual challenges, and I wouldn't have this or this or this.
