would i be even close if i guessed that you are not a colorado springs native or even a colorado native...? if i'm wrong, i apologize, but your blog and your posts just have a feel about them...
i grew up in colorado springs, attended school and finished my graduate work there before moving out at the end of 1977... i still swing through from time to time as i have a couple of connections left, not counting one in trinidad...
my family moved to the springs in 1907 and, by the time i left, i knew where all the bodies were buried, way too much, in fact, to continue to live there with any degree of serenity... it has changed little although the constantly increasing size serves to hide the rotten core... i disowned it as my hometown some years ago... going back is always a sobering if not actually disturbing experience...
I am not a Colorado native. My parents retired here after 30 years of military service and I came here to start my own family several years ago.
