President Bush's approval rating has topped 50 percent for the first time since July.
One suspects that the American population is more concerned with whether the Administration is going after terrorists, than whether they have filled in the proper paperwork. The Democrats' tin ear on national security politics is the gift that never stops giving.

The Democrats are no doubt starting to realize that writing off the Fourth Amendment as 'paperwork' will be to their benefit if they get the Presidency back.
interesting take on the constituion
"proper paperwork"
not my take, but hey, I swore to fight for the damn thing, so what do I know.
The Constitution is only important when a Republican is accused of a crime, apparently.
Oh, and I guess the First Amendment protects one's right to invent approval figures for the President. Other than that...
The Constitution is important when one of the branches of government exerts its intrinsic powers.
Mythago, do you have a reason to assert that this recent poll is inaccurate or dishonest?
The Bill of Rights applies to all branches of government.
I don't believe Mr. Rasmussen is dishonest, but I do note that your interpretation of the reason for the results is not something noted in the poll. Mr. Rasmussen's figures also don't entirely match up with those of other polls.
Those polls are 50 days old, mythago.
